Banking processes and products have evolved over the years from “paper pushing” to be more digital and system orientations based on customer demands and the new wave of digitization across the globe. The era of audit observations and evidence based on signed memos, vouchers etc has also evolved to digital signatures etc. It is therefore instructive that people in Internal Audit are brought to speed on the need to understand the processes and practices related to Information Security and protection of data assets, this will in the long run help to prevent cyber fraud etc through this evolving digital processes.

They need some targeted training that will give them clear guidance and practical methods which will show them exactly how they can get the best performance from themselves and those involved in IT Security and Audit.

  • Participants shall have the knowledge necessary to provide audit services in accordance with IT audit standards to assist the organization with protecting and controlling information systems.
  • Develop and implement a risk-based IT audit strategy based on IT audit standards
  • Plan specific audits to determine whether information systems are protected, controlled and provide value to the organization
  •  Report audit findings and make a recommendation to key stakeholders to communicate results and effect change when necessary.
  • Conduct follow-ups or prepare status reports to ensure appropriate actions to be taken by management.
  • Design an effective internal control process to provide assurance to the business objectives been met and achieved and undesired events minimized.
