Key Performance Areas

Overall Purpose of the Job:

To operate the stores function as per QMS procedures.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

1.     

Assist in the organisation, operation and security of the stores.

2.

Operate RMS and input data into modules applicable to Stores and Logistics

3.

Partake in Stock checks, random and full.

2.     

To play an active role in improving the quality and HSEQ management system and bring to the attention of Senior Storeperson/Logistics Controller any HSEQ issues.

3.

Help as instructed to maintain the filing system for stores/logistics documentation.

4.

Ensure general housekeeping is at a high standard for a safe, clean, working environment and that CoSHH regulations are observed in the area.

5.

Work in accordance with information and training provided and not to undertake any task for which authorisation and/or training has not been given.

6.

To undertake any duties requested by Senior Storeperson/Logistics Controller on a daily basis.

Job Context and Main Activities:

On a day to day basis reports to Senior Storeperson/Logistics Controller ensuring that all transactions are correctly input and cleared through RMS.

 

Decision making Authority/Level of Supervision Required:

Working with under Supervision and refers to Storeperson/Logistics Controller on certain matters.

    

Relationships:

(Who are the job holder’s most important contacts and for what purpose? Consider both external and internal contacts, excluding immediate supervisor and subordinates, but including personnel at other locations , if appropriate)

Has day to day contact with workshop/operations staff to ensure that demands are fully met.

 

Job Challenges:

Accurate issuing and receipting of stock and non stock items of spares and consumables for workshop, laboratories and containers.

 

Job Knowledge and Experience:

(Indicate only the essential background qualifications, education, skills and aptitudes, specialist training and experience necessary to perform the job competently)

Basic PC skills.

Job Holder to gain a qualification in Materials/Logistics

To gain  knowledge of  the RMS System

Good communication skills – Internal

Good team player with sound interpersonal skills.

Good understanding of Quality and Safety Management systems, Group procedures, policies and processes.
